A certificate and prize recognizing early-career or PI-level scientists for recent innovative contributions that have advanced coherent multidimensional spectroscopy—through the development of new experimental techniques, theoretical models, or novel applications.

This definition reflects the view that innovation can emerge not only from early-career researchers but also from more senior scientists who have recently entered the CMDS community or made breakthroughs after transitioning from another field.

The award comes with a monetary award of USD4000 (or its equivalent in other currencies).

• Eligibility: Open to scientists worldwide.

• Who may nominate: Members of the CMDS community, including International Organizing Committee (IOC) members.

• Announcement: The call will be distributed via the CMDS mailing list and posted on the CMDS website (https://www.cmds2026.org).

• Nomination form can be downloaded here. Further instructions can be found on the nomination form.

• Submission: Please send completed nomination forms to the IOC Chair (Minhaeng Cho, mcho@korea.ac.kr).

• Deadline: August 31, 2027

• The IOC Chair will review the number of nominations received.

• If the number is modest, all IOC members may participate in voting via email.

• If the list is large, a subcommittee of 3–4 IOC members (appointed by the Chair) will evaluate the nominations and propose the final selection.

• Conflict of interest: Subcommittee members will recuse themselves if they or their group members are nominated.
