Passport holders from most countries do not need a visa to enter Singapore for a short-term visit. Countries that need a visa can be found here. You may find information regarding the Entry Requirements (Eg. Visa applications) on the following Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website here.
All visitors need to fill up the SG Arrival Card (SGAC). This applies even if you do not need a visa to travel into Singapore. It includes a health declaration and you can only fill it up less than 3 days before arriving in Singapore. Do not worry too much if you forgot to do it. You can still fill it up on-arrival in Singapore. It will just be a slight hassle and delay your immigration clearance by 10 minutes. Beware: You DO NOT need to pay any money for these submissions. Beware of on-line scam sites!
English is the official language in Singapore, and all signs and instructions are in English. It should therefore be rather straightforward to travel around.
The weather in Singapore is humid and hot (~28 to 32 deg. C), so don't overdress. Having said that, public transport and most indoor areas are air-conditioned and comfortable.
Public transport (Both public buses and subway system) can be paid for with your credit card.
Taxis are available relatively easily in most places. More convenient is to use the Ride Hailing app Grab (This is the Singapore equivalent of UBER)
More information on other travel matters will be made available soon. Stay tuned!
